Cherry Almond Biscuits

125g Butter, softened
1/3 cup Caster Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
1cup Self raising flour
100g Glace Cherries, cut in half
50g Slivered Almonds
1. Preheat Oven on Fan Plus at 160 C (turn off rapid heat)
2. Cream butter and sugar and vanilla until light and creamy.
3. Add flour, cherries and almonds. Mix well.
4. Place teaspoons of mixture onto baking trays.
5. Bake 15-18 mins or until golden.
6. Cool on trays. Makes approx 24 biscuits.
